UNITWIN Network on International Cooperation and Development through the University of Pavia and Bethlehem University
The only UNITWIN-UNESCO Network in Italy
CDN applied for the UNITWIN/UNESCO Chairs Programme that promotes international inter-university cooperation and networking to enhance institutional capacities through knowledge sharing and collaborative work.
In November 2015 CDN officially became partner of the UNITWIN Network on International Cooperation and Development through the University of Pavia and Bethlehem University. Through this network, higher education and research institutions pool their resources, both human and material, to address pressing challenges and contribute to the development of their societies. The Networks and Chairs serve as think tanks and as bridge builders between academia, civil society, local communities, research and policy-making. The UNITWIN Network is enlarging involving, in the near future, the other CDN University poles: Nairobi, Cartagena de Indias and Kathmandu.
This acknowledgment, which gives the CDN prestige and visibility, represents an important step forward towards strengthening the Network. More info on http://en.unesco.org/unitwin-unesco-chairs-programme
